A note from self to ego

So you think you are analytical - I think you are staring at the wall.

So you think you are spiritual - I think you speak mumbo-jumbo.

So you think you are religious - I think you have a closed off mind.

So you think you are happy - I say stop thinking and you will be.

So you think I have it all worked out - I know for sure you can't.

And this is why I exist in bliss,
   knowing the only certainty,
     is this.

Fingers pointing to the moon

“Fingers pointing to the moon.” We all know not to get hung up on the finger (teaching) but see the moon (truth).

Further though, the moon is an object so can be pointed at. The truth is no such thing.

it is not for thinking about

As it is infinite, it can at times appear rational.

Be sure, it is not!

Infinity the 2 way street

The great self, the universe, is infinite and by nature of your perspective, weird.

You can either be pissed off with it and suffer, or you can laugh all day in admiration. (of your-true-self)

Follow the wind

Follow leaders and be forever in the shade of stupidity and greed.

Follow the learned and be forever confused.

Look to nature and she will serve you well.

Useless

The outwardly beautiful person has troubles as no matter how free of ego, they will always project the seed of ego into each person they meet.

The smart and reliable person always gets far too much put upon them.

The wise are always being asked questions.

The fool is always at loss.

It takes a certain something to appear average on the outside and exist in deep seated calm.

The illusion

The eyes do not look, they absorb. The mind is responsible for looking.

The failure here is how it divides information from a limited sensory input into values good and bad.

Here is the illusion.

We are all objects to the one subject.

In truth we are all that one subject and the objects and the space between them are only our dream.

 

Oh life?

Some are lost in life. Some seek spiritual solace.

Some admirable people just live!

 

Conflict

 

It is only an argument if you take part.

 

 

Seeking your tail

Words cause confusion.

In times of confusion, people read the big book.

Truth is so simple, they refuse it and seek the complex.

 

Mad loops

The big mouth causes fear and panic.

In times of fear and panic, people huddle around a leader with a big mouth.

 

Mutual benefit

What use is competition when the result is one rejoicing in another's loss?

Competition for mutual benefit is more desirable.

Nothing though beats cooperation as that is always inline with truth.

 

Open up

Stand proud, hold your values, as scribed in steel in a vault.

No one will ever warm to you and your heart will dry up.

..or..

Open to the wisdom that is always true, simple oneness.

That way, receptive and open, you are never without.

Trust

Did you see the 200 year old turtle apply wrinkle cream?

Did you see the Lion condition his mane?

Did you see the bird plan her journey?

All trust Nature.

That is settled

Water is always at water level, a persons legs go from ground to hip.

Tea tastes of tea and smells do not enter the ear.

When there is work to do, you can complain, you can rejoice.

Either way, when it is done, it is done.

Did thinking ever change a thing?

It was always going to be this way.

Change from the ground up

You can't force out a government without it being replaced by another.

An ant can't push down a large tree. But he can, with a team, remove its foundation and witness it tumble.

Life in peace

 

Peace is gained by forgetting conflicts.

 

 

Just war

Is it a delight to win, to get your way?

Is victory in war great?

Only from the view of ego can this be good.

On the other side were people too.

People on borders are similar and good friends.

Their remote leaders keep themselves separate.

War is between those who keep separations at heart.

Peace is at the border where men shake hands and children mix freely.

Governance

A leader with a big mouth makes all the wrong moves.

Govern your life from within. Tell no one of your achievements, tell no one of your failures.

Accept both as the way things are.

Change

No matter how peacefully you pull the feathers from a chicken, she will peck you.

No matter how lovingly you pull knots from your daughters hair, she'll squirm.

With the greatest love in your heart, someone will still retaliate.

Do by doing yourself. If they follow, good, if not, good.

Structure of death

Does concrete make for an attractive river?

Would a steel field bring a harvest?

Would rules of organisation make ants more efficient?

Would paper records improve graciousness of flight?

Trust in release

You'd trust water to evaporate.

So sit until thoughts subside.

Adding water does not aid evaporation.

So no need to help the mind.

Truth is not looking

Seekers see truth in front of them, yet they still take one last look behind. 

They meet simplicity, yet are still drawn to double check the complex.

By contrast, the master does as nature; accepts and never has to ask again.

Wise leader of self

They who want to best govern themselves.

Should not try, should not force a thing.

Govern by giving full control to nature.

Trust by her past achievements, she knows.

Wise leaders?

If one leader had true wisdom.

They'd quit.

Craving

One who cares for the praise of others will be ever in doubt.

Craving attention, they will offer their own about freely.

Never free from attention, they will meet more cuts than praise.

With doubts and with unwanted attention, they will blame others as the root of this problem.

Asked as to why they want peace it is answered that they have none.

mystery of awakening

The mystery so powerful as to form the world.

The thoughts of the mind so limited.

When enough dew has collected, it drips.

When thoughts are dispersed, awakening.
