Guilty of being innocent

Once assumed guilty, they will appear guilty. People will look down.

As soon as you find the real cause of the wrong, the person again looks innocent and people say they knew all along.

My dogs best jacket

I asked my dog what she'd like to do for her birthday and she said she had nothing to wear and no money but wanted to have a nice run by the river and chew a stick or two.

I thought this was a great idea.

I asked my sister and she said her husband had exams, they were moving house soon, work was stressful and she may not get home in time to even have a rest before her birthday was out.

I thought "and you, human, are the smart one?"

heterarchy

Anyone recognising the truth could not bear for someone to act as if inferior, would laugh at someone acting superior, and would respect all in nature from fly to fish as a living equal in Tao.

I see I

The cat or dog is given a mirror and they become fascinated by the reflection, scratching at the mirror, jumping around, running to the back of the mirror, seeing nothing they return to the front, nudge it, on and on..

So it is also with the person when they first see the world.

With time they may realise the world is a reflection of themselves and smile.

Ripping down a painting of the ocean, to reveal, the ocean

Of course pure Tao can know itself: but only incarnated as an apparently separate entity, can it see, feel, and touch itself.

Realisation then is where Tao, that which has always been, sees through one of its many minds (who are also completely and utterly Tao) that he is Tao. The separate-ego idea is generally cast off with a deeply felt relief and often inwardly felt and perhaps outwardly audible, laugh.

Am

It seems so unhealthy and alien to seek truth when it has already become apparent. Suddenly looking makes no sense whatsoever and instead one is drawn to view the life around them and be in a sustained state of awe and wonder.

Beyond

Truth known intellectually can be forgotten and contaminated.

Truth known in the heart is quite firm.

Truth, immovable, comes from a deeper place and can not be lost. (as it was never gained as such)

Words: used and used, until they are exhausted.

Hold that

The stiller the viewer, the more that is seen.

I try

You believe "I am unawakened" because you believe in "I".

Fighting

Fighting talk. Is it worse to strike with the fist or argue with words?

Who can say that one way or the other is better?

If either must be done then it should be done short, sharp, calm and be gone.

If you carry it with you then it would have been wiser to not do it. As carrying it proves the intended solution was a failure.

A fist may leave a mark and a word may scar deeply. You could be weak and cause hurt or strong and refrain.

Blue sky

Hanging the washing out to dry.

Painting birds onto the sky.

Drawing images with my mind.

That in a moments time,

I'll no longer find.

Treat the dog as yourself

Standing afar, the street dweller and the businessman are not so different.

Closer up the businessperson seems to have a more desirable situation.

Closer still the undesirable street person appears to have nothing to elevate this opinion.

Yet, as close as can be, beyond the mind, there is a similar self.

Moving back out from that self, into the life and mind of the street person and the businessman, it becomes clear why compassion should have no boundary. As the true state of being is seen, the internal wrangles and colour in this persons life make them now an interesting soul, with what is likely a savagely beaten down ego, and a resultantly larger spiritual heart.

As the businessman kicks at a dog who sniffs his trousers and the street guy calls the same dog over for a stroke and some water. I see I was right.

greed

Greed is infinitely empty. Unfulfillable.

Gold

Those with a little, yet enough, are content.

Rich rarely so.

Wealth does not buy freedom from attachment.

And true riches are immaterial.

conflict

When desire opposes the situation then conflict appears.

When conflict comes and you feel the need to act, it is better to draw to the root and use your infinite being to neutralize the situation. Allow it to pass.

As reacting just passes the event on to another, perhaps to many, you'd be better to be wise and strong here, than depend on another to neutralize it later.

The only thing you can alter about the world is your attitude towards it.

The only thing you can change is the way you see it.

Yet to be solied paper

In the bookshop, while glancing down the spines of the books, one really caught my eye.

This was the one that had what I was looking for and I went to pull it out.

Only then did I notice that this was not a book at all, and was in fact the vertical wooden frame of the book shelf.

There was more truth in a piece of bare wood than I could have expected from the greatest master-work that had left its mark on paper.

sitting by the lake, book closed

Spiritual works are a pass time for the spiritually minded. And not something to try to emulate.

Why?

As any doing or trying is no good. It sets you apart. However, reading and reading until your own habitual thoughts move naturally into line with the spiritual guides - then you can walk freely.

meditation

Meditation is practising the state you should remain in at all times.

Meditation is also the spontaneous pleasure of the Enlightened.

One person is trying to be.

The other is.

Oh? No one told me that

It turned out all along that water buffalo were in charge of philosophy and man was on cake duty.

Did you hear the news?

Good news and bad news are taken like a large rock takes an ant walking over him.

Now causes the past.

Pastures new

New activities are taken on like a puppy takes her first yawn.

No choice

Just being is the only option. You can pull at the rope, but why turn being into a chore?

irrationationalise

What are these silly games attempting to rationalise the irrational?

This is why the great ones sip from the cup with an empty mind.

objects

objects are best known as abstracts.

magnetic subtraction

There are no things but the potential in mind for the object to be and to be seen.

The potential exists in the void of no-things. Then bam, seer and seen. Then fizz, void.

We seem to be the seer, we see and the thing is seen, we seem to be half of this.

The true I though is the infinite potential void.

And so the show, and why not!

magnetic attachment

It is ideas on reality that keep truth at bay.

This is why the true masters live simply and never speak of truth.

It is just so tempting to try, and that is the perpetual barrier.

Magnet to steel.

Too obvious

The self has no where to hide but remains invisible as when divisions look, they only see divisions. No one can look as one, and if they do they are sure nothing is there.

True, no-thing is there. Right there, ever present.

Turn your head quick!

Who can use the nose to smell the nose? Listen and hear their ear? See one eye with the same eye?

Who then can find I with I?

Chasing the tail

Those who seek enlightenment as something for them to have and hold are attempting to force duality to be real.

Saturday, 1 May 2010

Spontaneity

Spontaneous occurrence, not planned, not acted and not held for a moment after.

Not thought and not not thought, instead, just being.
