Earth Mind Sun Self

Looking from the Earth we know the Sun as a very significant object, one that provides us life and so much else. From our perspective, we know little of the Sun and it displays as hot and powerful, yet only a glimpse of its full potential.

Here, Earth is the mind.

~

Looking from the Sun the Earth is not even seen, it is one of many tiny things powered by just a glimpse its power and potential.

Here the Sun is the true self.

Science

Science takes a fixed thing and tells you what will happen when another fixed thing happens to it. They take one sub atomic particle and over fixed times, distances and settings, they become giddy over fixed results.

We exist in an infinite interactions by their standards, the result of this experiment is living, life, being!

Thankfully science burst through to a point where the results became unpredictable and from these works a more spiritual perspective was born, one of interrelations and one that demonstrated the influence of observer. Heisenberg even took the Tai Chi as his coat of arms. Still though the observers have fixed ways, so the results are dulled.

Show me the equation: x = Being and I will be happy to show interest. Until then, I will be happy being and let the equation be infinity unfolding.

Selfish ways

Is wanting inner peace selfish?

Absolutely not, it is directed in exactly the right way as those who want the world to be at peace are truly the selfish ones. They hope that once the world is at peace then they can rest, but this is no good! The inner seeker has it right. The inward looking finds peace at their root, they find then that they are this root and can drop false identification with the old ego-self and the supposedly troubled world. In this way the world does become perfect.

Solid proof

As you can see all of the change and commotion in the world around you. Does that not give you concrete proof that you are the serene, pure, still potential of it all?

My little world

Who made the world Daddy?

You did Dear. You make it as you like it. Each time you look around, hear a sound, you decide.

Why are some things bad Daddy?

As others shape their world, so you can compare it to yours, this helps you make your world better. Only they can change theirs. Just care for what you find best and perhaps one day they will follow, if not, they can learn their own way.

Follow your heart, let it guide you. You know it all already. Trust it.

Chicken or Egg?

What came before both chicken and egg was someone to make that distinction.

Mind over matter?

Before both was the perceiver of these.

Space and time, require a knower.

World and life and death and a universe and an infinity, require, before them, the self who they happen in the awareness of.

Your body came of the world, you preceded both and all.

Just A-happening

Because it is ideas and assumptions that lead you to say you are a person then with dedication you can see that the person is not real, just inferred, an abstraction from the void.

As the person is not real, then the reality can more easily be seen as just something also created from ideas and assumptions.

With neither real, and one can't be real while the other is not, [neither are real, they are one play of the mind] then we dissolve the need for cause/effect and creation.

Beyond I am

"I am that" - Understanding

"I am" - High understanding

"I" - Highest understanding

" " - Beyond understanding!

dualing the mind

Negating all dual until one with no two is reached. Naming it springboards you back to duality, conceptualising it, thinking, anything about this non-dual, is dual.

So when we reach I am. Being, just being, it would be natural for the mind to set up a duality here, so let us allow that.

What can allow for motion that is not perfectly beyond rest?

What can see all shades of wet that is not bone dry?

What can give rise to all colours that is not entirely without?

So, what is the mind's idea for the opposite of I am?

Perhaps 'I am not'.

The mind is not. All of its forms and ideas, are not.

I am.

I am

I am reading. Reading will pass, I am always I am.

I am thinking. Thinking will pass, I am always I am.

I do this, I do that, theses are of no importance, good or bad, throughout it all, I am.

In bliss, I am. In pain I am. I am previous, and ever present I am.

I am sleeping, I am playing, I am doing, I am saying. Always, I am, I am, I am.

Beyond your pleasures and pains

Many may claim sexual union as the height of pleasure, some may claim a drug high, a union with God, ... Tao, the self, is beyond.

Some may claim a day at the lake as peace, harmony with friends, a full belly, a loving relationship, ... Tao, the self, is beyond.

As these things have levels of heightened feeling or quality, they sit in a medium, that of mind, and also contain opposites, those of separation, loss, impermanence, pain, suffering.

Tao, the self, has no dual nature: contains all and so surpasses all that you may crave in the world of mind.

Undeniable

What can you find for me that exists with no anti?

Can you bring me some matter and not bring space?

Can you tell me of consciousness without an idea of unconsciousness?

Can you describe love and not compare it to hate?

All of these are shapes of the mind.

Only Tao, this true self, is such that it has no anti, no opposite, no other.

Is the Tao lonely? Alone to who. It has no second, no not.

Is the Tao vast? No as it is small. Mind games!

This is why truth is undeniable. Beyond mind, beyond duality, it can not be denied as YOU ARE, you can not deny being. You can say "One day I will die" and this is true, that body you wear now will die. The self though, Tao, exists before time.

unimpressed by your efforts

The self is simply uninterested, unburdened and impossible to mark or stain.

Nothing you do can bring it forth or have it retreat.

All you can do is pay more attention to the mind.

And ignore that which you seek!

Stop questioning and the self shines.

everywhere

There is no more or less self in another person as there is in a speck of dust.

Freefalling

The clouds of the mind can murder the true self. Not rid and destroy it as it can never be absent, but they can form such an illusion that the self is hidden from the ego 'i'.

This is how most people live, in a world made of a swirling mind so torrid as that the self is drowned out of their immediate perception - for many this will go on for a whole lifetime.

Should we say to them this truth: You can forget your choices, forget your safety, forget, and leave the true self to live through you.

These people will say "So I can be carefree, I can steal, kill, do as I please and blame the self!"

What error, as their torrid mind instantly clambers and makes claims for false illusions.

Yet this same truth, to one awake or close to awakening, is the release to bliss.

Memory

Q. The self is ever present, timeless, deathless, the body comes, changes and goes. But I don't remember before my birth.

A. Memory is a toy of the mind and the self has no use for it. The self is non-dual so how can it have a memory or a need for one. Yes the self is timeless, so this idea of "before" your birth is nothing but a mind game too.

Discover the true self, and these questions will extinguish.

Dancing mind

I like my world as is shows me the colour and potential of my mind.

I like my mind as it can cope with the finite: From simple gauging of the space around me to the ideas of deep space.

I like my consciousness as it can grasp the infinite, beyond the mind.

Awareness, I can only be.

~

Awareness is all and it gives rise to consciousness.

Conciousness is grand as it gives rise to the mind.

The mind is grand as it gives rise to the world and my form.

In my form I am happy in life and enjoy the dance.

Desire to suffer

The desire to have happiness for all results in inevitable suffering when sadness is seen.

The desire to be well makes being unwell difficult.

The desire for enlightenment and release breeds constant anguish as the state of ignorance persists.

Free from desire, the perfect way, all happens yet is not suffered.

silent witness

You may with your mind imagine the true self as silent witness. This is as good an approximation the mind can make.

Consider though how the self is non-dual.

And realize the mind is of no help.

Be and don't try to comprehend.

Saturday, 11 September 2010

No stains on me

You can do nothing to impress or upset the self.

Nothing to ingratiate yourself, make or lose merit.

Nothing you do effects it.

All you do: you rattle and roll, or you sit and hum,

It is always present and silent and blissful.

You'd do well then to take its example and join it.

Silence, just being myself

Q. Why are you so quiet?

A. I am being myself.

Thursday, 9 September 2010

practice is perfection (2)

Practice is perfection.

As truth is non-dual;

You can only be it,

..not have it.

Wednesday, 8 September 2010

4 states 1 root

Wake, sleep, dream, dead.

You exist behind all of these states.

In your dream you trust the dream as all there is, so too in life.

In sleep and in death you have no such ideas.

Behind all of these states is the same root.

Your true self.

Life

Where is infinity without the mind?

Where is the world without conciousness?

Where is anything from your hair to a mountain, to a world to a galaxy, without awareness?

All need you to be. You pre-exist so much so that you pre-exist time, you are birthless deathless.

Where is your body without you? See how the body can come and go, a vehicle that takes form from the life-source of which you are? And that you then pre-exist this body, it exists only because of you.

This world is here as long as you make it. You outlive it.

step back

A hole in a wall is made of wall yet contains no wall.

The root of the mind is inferred by mind yet contains no mind.

The root of conciousness is inferred by conciousness yet can not be held by conciousness.

The root of awareness is impossible to deny! Yet, its root, is... you!

Sunday, 5 September 2010

no idea

I am complete without ideas.

Ideas break me into many.

Saturday, 4 September 2010

subjectifying

As has been said before: We are all objects to the one subject.

Draw to your core and all that you see, including you is not you. All that you can hold in your awareness is not awareness.

Only the very root can be pure awareness and this can not be an object. Nothing can make the root an object. This Being, this pure awareness at the root, is the subject to which the universe and all abstractions of it are objects.

Friday, 3 September 2010

Pure Awareness

He looked at everything and named it. Named he put it in a box, out of the way.

He looked at the functions of looking, named them and put them aside.

As with the functions of knowing.

And with conciousness.

What remained was ...

Be

To know anything, even truth, maybe especially truth, is false.

As knowledge requires knower.

Truth can only be,

and not be known.

Wednesday, 1 September 2010

perspective, realative and distinction

All of the incredible, infinite, depth and power of the universe, acting, and through me I reach and pick up my tea cup quite unconsciously.

For an observer, a man sips tea. For me, I barely notice. For the universe, should you be able to grasp all that it took for that to happen, infinite things!

For the self, nothing.
