Some of the group inquired as to what else was at these locations and the messenger said that one was famous for fine dresses and one for fine shoes.
To this day you can see a pile of human remains in this same location. A location where 50 starving people argued over shoes and dresses when all they needed was food.

Bravo! A great tale that describes humanity to a tee.
Perhaps the starving group agreed they had no further need for shoes, dresses or even food.
Being taoists, and content with their lives, they decided there was no need to travel anywhere.
They died, one by one, as their time came, in place.
Perfectly content.
Perfectly at one.
Ditto with The Rambling Taoist... this is a nice tale of most humans :p
@ Crow: I don't think contentment with life is not the same as not making action at all. Wei wu wei... and maybe I don't think at all #-p
