Lessons in Evil

When the child was asked what she learned at school that day she said that 'someone was wicked and did bad things'. The parent said 'are you telling me what happened or what you learned?' The child said 'both, they were wicked and we all learned from that to be good'.

So the evil are as much gurus to pointing to the true self as are the good. Maybe they teach more directly.

What is evil? What is good?

Everything is guru pointing to the true self. Labeling one as evil or good seems to obscure this simple fact... and now you turned it back. Thanks for sharing :)

Evil is evil.
Good is good.
Balance is balance.

Evil, while remaining evil, can be the most effective teacher.
Good, while remaining good, has little to teach.
Balance, while remaining balance, accepts enough of one, and enough of the other.

Evil only exists if perceived as such. It is relative and only of the individual mind. From a universal mind perspective there is only good. All pain pushes us to transcend it.

You can say that beneath evil is pain and beneath that is love.

Absolutely!

Without love, pain and evil could not exist. There's only love and varying levels of a lack of it.
