Half circle

All of your life, north was north and the compass pointed north.

One day, all that you ever thought you knew was turned inside out and the compass pointed south. The way you saw things, the way you saw others, the idea of self, was flipped with such a jerk, 180degrees, that you knew you had to investigate.

As you investigated this new perspective, the old north was ever increasing in magnetism to pull you back. All who you spoke to pointed north, but all of the new ideas you had, the books you were drawn to, pointed south.

I am here to tell you to look only from the center, look north, south, east and west. Know north and south, the world view and the spiritual view, in balance.

Good and Bad

Stone is carved into two shapes. One is beautiful to you, one ugly. There also remains some uncarved stone for the Taoist to appreciate.

So people have chosen the ones they like and decided if they do not like others.

All are made of stone.

Life in balance

Your life like a pair of scales,

are you too much in the past or the future?

Which way do they lean?

Too much invested in the future, too much thought for the past?

Sit here on the balance-point, or choose the center of the wheel.

That is here now and unchanging.

heterarchy

Anyone recognising the truth could not bear for someone to act as if inferior, would laugh at someone acting superior, and would respect all in nature from fly to fish as a living equal in Tao.

Clouds don't stain the sky.

Sun and a cool breeze, A clap of thunder and a torrent of rain.

Same Sky.

So too you. Often Calm, can blow up, react!

Here too, be like the sky; open and empty, never holding on, not lingering.

Politics

A starving group are told by a messenger that there is food of great delight in two locations, both quite near. In fact both just as close; one 2 miles East and one 2 miles West.

Some of the group inquired as to what else was at these locations and the messenger said that one was famous for fine dresses and one for fine shoes.

To this day you can see a pile of human remains in this same location. A location where 50 starving people argued over shoes and dresses when all they needed was food.

Grass grows

In the first year meditation is such a thing to grasp.

In the second year meditation is a wonderful thing so different to daily life.

In the third year there is no difference at all between life and mediation.

Not using year in a literal way.
