non-dual truth

If anything has an opposite, then it is a product of the mind. All then, all you can see, hear, touch, imagine, is false. There is no self, no world, no universe.

At your root, before this birth, as you are deep asleep, in every moment of your life, is an undeniable element that sits before even the notion of I.

This is truth.

discount to see the best in the world

At many times the language used will appear to say you must discount the world. This is both necessary and unfortunate. It is necessary as language is limited and there is a desire to encourage the seeker to go beyond the mind, it is often necessary to seem to discount the world.

It is unfortunate however as the world is just this, it is a wonder and a delight, your playground; so it is unfortunate that the seeker is asked to discount it at times, but as said, necessary.

All false has root in the true. False comes and goes and changes, so is false, truth is ever the same. So the world, seen as is, is a delight and even though it fits the definition of the false due to its transience, it is rooted in truth. When it is seen from truth, it is magical.

So the efforts to discount it have high value.

enlightenment not gained

You don't attain truth, you unattain false.

Bit by bit, one by one, cast the false aside.

What is left is.

Truth harder as, wherever you go, it is the one allowing for the looking and so will not be seen.

Q. Who am I?


Master…

A. There’s only one of us here!

The one you are is that which is.

As is the Reader.


Q. Where am I?

A. I will refer to the I you still think you are and not that I whom I just told you you were; as if you had grasped my last answer you would not have asked this.

Tell me, are your lungs part of you?


Monk. Of course.


Master. Then may I ask you what you would rather I took away from you; your lungs or all the air?


Monk. I cannot separate them, now I realise master!


Master. No, not yet, listen, you are right in that at least, yet further still; The whole universe; remove or change any element and you will cease to be able to ask me questions. While your lungs seem in fact to reach the extremes of our atmosphere, your true ‘I body’ is the entire universe and is ‘that which is’. That which is outside of all your reason, before space and time and breath and lungs and Where and who am I questions.


Q. Then what is the truth?


A. As that becomes clear you will laugh at how you could ever utter such a question. When it is known, then question and answer will be nothing but lines in a whimsical tale of the monk who realised not. As the truth becomes clear the question and answer are both clearly irrelevant, uninteresting asides to spontaneous living, and I’m going for sandwich.

Convinced you are the unreal

No one is apart from absolute perfection. They just become better and better at convincing themselves that they are not (absolute perfection)!

Truth is no matter how it is defined

A group of six were asked to all describe truth.

The science minded gave a great and well defined version of truth.

The religious minded gave a wonderful painting of truth.

Another science person spoke of a valid and convincing organic viewpoint.

A different spiritual person wowed the group with words on peace.

A child in the group gave a lovely simple version of truth.

Although all of these versions of truth were spoken, and everyone found wonder and merit in them all - The actual truth they attempted to define, never altered a bit.

Awareness is wasted on the mind too often

You are constantly aware. You could be no other way as that is what you are! Awareness itself.

As has been said many many times, the mind is a puppet show, constantly vying for attention by giving you what you least expect, or just what you did expect, but never what you crave. As you reach for peace, the mind throws up a new idea, wish or memory, like an attention seeker it will do anything to have your attention.

Your attention is precious, it is the root to being. Don't waste awareness on the mind.

By all means appreciate the majesty of your creation, but don't hold on to the unreal.

Getting to the real subject

Everyone can see that if there were no subjective ego self then there would be no world to see.

By the same logic, and some people instinctively know this to be true, but many will not see it: If there were no true self, there would be no world at all, no people, no stars, no universe, no potential for anything.

You may easily see that you are an ego self who on dying will no longer see the world.

You may be one of the few who know their true self to be the only self, the one that was here before the mind, the world and the body.

Beyond I am

"I am that" - Understanding

"I am" - High understanding

"I" - Highest understanding

" " - Beyond understanding!

Undeniable

What can you find for me that exists with no anti?

Can you bring me some matter and not bring space?

Can you tell me of consciousness without an idea of unconsciousness?

Can you describe love and not compare it to hate?

All of these are shapes of the mind.

Only Tao, this true self, is such that it has no anti, no opposite, no other.

Is the Tao lonely? Alone to who. It has no second, no not.

Is the Tao vast? No as it is small. Mind games!

This is why truth is undeniable. Beyond mind, beyond duality, it can not be denied as YOU ARE, you can not deny being. You can say "One day I will die" and this is true, that body you wear now will die. The self though, Tao, exists before time.

Silence, just being myself

Q. Why are you so quiet?

A. I am being myself.

Practice is perfection.

As truth is non-dual;

You can only be it,

..not have it.

Be

To know anything, even truth, maybe especially truth, is false.

As knowledge requires knower.

Truth can only be,

and not be known.

Truth in a book?

Truth can only exist in a book as truth exists previous to the book and the writing.

How then, can the book contain truth?

Now. Awakened. And every moment, every action, every act, every sight of the eye, sound of the ear, sense of the heart, is only the truth.

Then you need no time, no place to be or go, nothing to seek and nothing missing.

The man at prayer, the woman singing praise, are not wrong in your eyes but as filled with truth as the moo of a cow and the wind in the trees, no more or less.

The grass under your feet is a great as the space above your head and both contain each other as the universe contains itself and you are all things.

Breathing, you are dead. Living you decay. As dust you feed life. As new life you return to life.

As Light enters the eye

When I have perfect wisdom then all shall be released.

I can not achieve this any other time than now,

Therefore all beings are perfectly awake,

and I have perfect clarity.

We each step back from the infinite fractal of which we are one. And from each stance we naturally have a unique perspective. Some people have it all worked out, some have no idea, many see it in similar ways, many in complete contradiction.

And so it is, infinite, and one.

So when we read the words of another, one who has all the answers, we must remember, great or not, they offer only a perspective. No matter how true these words are to one, they will only ever point partially for another.

Each truth is unique, ultimately, beyond the words though, they are the same.

Perhaps one of the nastiest snags on the path is to feel you "have it".

Then these people go about attempting to push their ideas on others.

Or sniggering at how wrong everyone else is.

The Infinite Master

Your greatest master has the most to give and is immortal.

You are never free from that master. You do nothing alone.

This master will live on, and is held in your true heart.
