Gain Gain Gain

You want to be given wealth and material reward? Go to work.

You want to be fed by the infinite stream and have bliss in every moment? Give up doing.

Good post...I agree with your comment...my dilemna is that 'giving up' is a 'doing'. It's like having the desire to get rid of desire...always desire there...always doing.

Want want want.

Give up wanting altogether.

Do give up the wanting.

Uhh... what a paradox :p

Ha ha, well...

"Give up (the idea of) doing."

The mistake is thinking that there is anyone doing in the first place.

That 'doer' is not real ;)

Ta-Wan: Good point...there is no doing when 'no-one' exists. When entering 'the flow' during a combative match, like kickboxing, 'I' don't do a lot. It happens...a not-doing as well, but kickboxing happens...and it is blissful. No doer exists.

It's great, but a sticky trap.

We ask people to deny or see that no one does. We don't want them to deny a self in a way that depresses them (that fake self) but in a way that shatters illusion and has them realize true being oneness.

Yes, so true. It is important for us to have good self-esteem and self-worth...and also to see through self-delusion. Love the paradox of living and yet no one is there...
